I have a friend who is looking at a old mopar in the San Diego area. It runs and drives, but has been stored for many years. He would love to drive it back (a couple thousand miles) but I cautioned him it should be looked over so he doesn't break down, hurt the car, or have safety problems. Anyone know of a good guy for this in the San Diego area?

I have a friend around here, but he runs a business, so if you're buddy is willing to pay for his time, then he might be able to do it.

"Hey mister, something's wrong with your car, it idles roughly" - number one comment I got in Israel when daily driving a 70 Barracuda with a lopey cam.

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

Everyone knows there's no such thing as an honest mechanic...

It seems many here think everything should be a handout...

Unless of course its time for them to do the giving.

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

Well none of us are mechanics by trade, but me and my friends know more than your average one (particularly about classic mopars)... We could take a look at it...
