They work fine but don't look as a stock Mopar, also you have to machine out the center hole in the pulley..
I prefer to use the TRW FC28, Mopar OE replacement only 2.75" high. Check out the internet and swap meets...

Just my $0.02..

I bought the Jag fan clutch that's supposed to work. The fan bolt pattern wasn't even close. I don't know if I got the wrong one or if you need to buy a fan to go with it. I think I still have it someplace. If I can find it I'll post a picture. maybe someone has a picture of the correct one?

The Jaguar fan clutch, Hayden part number 2765, is 2.67" tall and SHOULD come with a bushing for the center pin. I installed it on my 1971 383 which fit just like it should. Bolted right up. No problems.

No machining required.

Me three.

I just bought one about a month ago and it came with the bushing. It bolted up perfectly to the Mopar fan that I had.

Here's a quick pic of it installed:

I've had two so far on my 383 stocker they work but my first one started to leak after about 5K and both of them do not lock up tight even when hot, i think they were designed for a smaller possibly plastic fan

I know the part number on the box was 2765 but the part was nothing like the one in the picture above. I guess I'll try again.

Whats the measurement from the core to the fan clutch, in the picture it looks real close.
Anyone else with pics and measurements PLEASE post them

It would NOT fit with the stock radiator location. I had the local radiator shop move the side brackets back about 1/2".

Before it would slip in but was up against the radiator.

Now it has about 1/2" clearance although getting a good pic is difficult.

Why are we going through all this trouble to use a Jag fan?
What do I not know?

I wanted a clutch fan but the normal shaft length is way too long.

The "Jag" Hayden clutch looks almost identical to the Mopar clutch other than the length of the shaft.

edit

Oh yeah, to clarify the fan is not included. We're just talking about the clutch element here.

Early B's are really tight when it comes to radiator/fan clearance when compared with later B/E bodies.

FYI, this is a 440 in the stock location with the original style K-frame in a '63 Dodge 330 with factory BB engine mounts. Nothing aftermarket.

After messing with it, I can see why guys use the later B-body K-frame to move the engine and trans back! It causes firewall/tranmission bolt access issues and you have to cobble up a rear transmission mount but in the end I think a later K would be worth it!

I had to do the same thing.

I used the jag clutch in my 67 Barracuda When I went to a three core aluminum Champion radiator. Much thicker rad then my stock copper/brass two core. I had no choice but to use the jag clutch. Otherwise my fan would not fit, would hit the rad. It bolted right up, came with a center bushing as mentioned above. Super tight install though. Not much room for fat fingers.... Lol.

The other thing you might want to do is make sure you put the belt over the fan blades BEFORE you bolt the radiator in.

So waht y'all saying is the Jag clutch is thinner?
It brings the fan further back from the radiator and closer to the block?

Exactly. The correct clutch has not been available for years and if you find an NOS one it is $$$$.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Not thinner. It has a shorter shaft. From where it bolts to the water pump to the face of the clutch is 2.67". Put another way, place it on a table facing up, it is 2.67" tall.

So am i the only one that thinks the jag fans are "weak" meaning they don't spin the fan quite fast enough when hot?
