Does anyone know where I can find an idler arm for a 1970 Duster that doesn't wear out 3 months after I install it? NAPA, Auto Zone, and Pep Boys is not recommended. Any recommendations for upgrade kits is appreciated as well.

It's very odd that an idler arm would wear out that fast regardless where it came from. Are you running headers or is the vehicle lower than stock specs.?

I am running headers, the vehicle is at stock height according to the service manual. The mechanics at the local shops can't figure it out and the parts stores say it's the geometry of the suspension. I've only had one idler arm from NAPA that has lasted longer than a year. I even re-lube it as they suggested. Every three months when I drive it regularly. It's very frustrating. I'm considering going to PST or Just Suspension to get a whole new front end kit. It just costs an arm and a leg and i'm trying to avoid it. Thanks for the reply!

Get a Moog brand. They are the best that there is...if those are wearing out when properly greased....you have another problem. Advance should have them...my car is low and has headers...I haven't had issues like this.

Are there any witness marks from the idler hitting the headers or anything else?

No whitness marks. No vibes. Only play when it starts to go out. I'll try the Moog component. Thanks!
