October issue of Car Craft - but what you posted is it. Awesome #'s when you consider how many off the shelf parts were used -inparticular on the bottom end. Going to use the pan gasket trick on an existing 360 build. If I had any concerns at all on the bottom end it would be along the lines of longivity - no studs, girdle, hard block, etc. Also interesting approach to get to that magic 300# with stock configuration heads - with no filler. Sez something for hand porting - all 2 days worth. Of course the only thing that is stock on the heads is the the configuration. No mention of any oiling / cooling mods. Guess there weren't any? Big $ in the valve train to handle that cam, but looks to be pretty bullet proof. IMO, overall pretty damned impressive for a stock blocked, 10.9:1 CR motor.

Impressive work as always, Brian!!

Pretty close in design concept to my own 414, my SDSS E-heads don't flow that well up top (puny 2.02's) but the cam is pretty close (266/269) but a tighter (107) spread. I figure mine for a solid 550 horse...maybe a little more.
