I need some help on getting the right bits and pieces in regards to setting up an automatic transmission in my 1970 Challenger.

I grabbed a nice 70 Challenger convertible with a 360 engine in it. I've had a 426 hemi sitting in my garage for 5 yrs.

So I'm working towards getting the hemi in the Challenger.

From what I gather from misc posts through searches:

The new trans needs to have the bosses on the tail piece that will allow me to use my slap stick shifter. Can I use the slap stick shifter linkages from the small block 727 on a big block 727?

Can I supply the tranny builder my small block tail piece so I'm certain that the mounting of the slap stick bracket will be the same?

I also have a question about the throttle linkages from carb to trans. It appears brewers sells a set for use on the 70 426 hemi? Will it work with edelbrocks? Will I need some sort of transition piece?

I've only had manual transmissions over the last dozen years. So I don't know much about automatic set ups.

thanks
Finoke

The tailhousing from the small block 727 will work on the big block case. You may need to modify the linkage rod from the rear carb to the cable bracket pivot. Everything else from there down would be fine.
