I've lost my headlights and have replaced my dimmer switch and headlight switch. The lights still do no work, but the headlight switch I put in it had a plug on the back. The one I took out did not. Would that be the cause? Or any other ideas. Thanks guys

Have you checked for power at the bulbs?

Aside from the wrong switch possibility have you checked the firewall connector where the head lamp harness passes through. I have seen the connectors there melt and corrode.

I have not checked either, but wasn't sure if there was any obvious causes I was missing. Ill do that tonight, I do want to mention everything else the switch controls ie dome,inst panel light and parking lights are working. And no fuses are blow in the box

Test light.Check power in and out of switch.Then check power in and out of dimmer.Check power to the headlights if that checks good.Possibly the bulbs are bad or no ground if power is good to them.Rocky

Check the grounds they are as important as the power feeds.
