I just brought home a 64 SF Conv body. It has a very solid California body but EVERYTHING else needs restored. I am planning on decoding the fender tag (still need to see if the buildsheet is in the car). Trying to decide how to go about bringing it back to a great driving car. One thought was to see if it can be converted with modern drivetrain (5.7L Hemi) and suspension. Has anyone already done this??? General thoughts?
I'm told the car was a 361 auto originally......
Thanks!

A guy over on ForBbodiesOnly.com in the early B body section has a long running 5.7 64 Dodge project. Lots of pictures and how he did it.

Doesn't AndrewH have a late model drivetrain in a 64?

I haven't found anything on the web or the B-body site.....maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot...kind of normal for me anyway.:) I figured if someone had put in a 5.7 Hemi in an old B-body someone on this board would definitely know about it.

Thanks for the link! I'm part way through the post and I can't wait to find a 5.7 or 6.1 Hemi!!! This looks way cool, I can't wait to get to the end. I did notice that a company (plumfloored) had a entry that they had started selling install kits.

Thanks again for the info!

Plumfloored (Ben Grasso) is a guy on the MML, he helped me with my 5.7 swap.
