Hey Guys has anyone used Jegs small block Electronic Conversion Kit. I want to change from pionts to electronic ignition. The Mopar kits are $225 and the Jegs are $150. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with them?

Thanks Scott!

I bought a knockoff from proform one time. I bet proform makes JEGs kits.

I bought it and set aside for 6 months. When I went to put it on and I measured the gap between pickup and reluctor, it was obvious the distributor shaft was bent. I emailed proform and they replaced it for free, even though their short warranty had expired. The new one has worked like a charm for 3+ years.

FWIW, I'm running the Mancini knock off conversion kit, it has not given me any trouble.

also FWIW, if i had to do it again i'd seriously look into a unit like this - http://www.procompelectronics.com/store/index.php?target=products&product_id=37477 and be done with all the boxes, wires and confusion.

I would strongly recommend that you bypass the ProComp stuff, it is low quality and junk..

But if you insist..
Here is the distributor and built-in electronic module for $44..

Just my $0.02...

so i've heard..... wasn't promoting them but rather offering am alternative and couldn't readily find a link to another company making them for small block. not sure if FBO has them yet.
