i have looked form it my self, friend of mine ad one so he took a couple pages and photo copied some pages but not all of it said go to the library get it my self found out some time ago getting info from fellow racers is very hard, they want to die with their secrets'of sucess hahahlol
The book tells you to bend the arms on the lower ball joint..... you can use Rod ends in place of Tie rod ends now. I would like to find a way to make up this set up myself. The threads on the Mopars are 9/16 (Odd ball) so they do not lend themselves to any easy 5/8 Rod end conversion. There are no 5/8 to 9/16 sleeves availible.....
Lofgren Auto Specialties makes a kit that uses the stock inner tie rod ends and 5/8" rod ends for the outters. The kit comes in two versions. One comes with a spindal stud to adapt the rod end to the lower ball joint. The other kit uses 5/8" diameter bolts to attach the rod ends to the lower ball joints (you must drill your ball joints to 5/8"). The kit with the spindal stud is $249.95. The kit with the bolts is $149.95.

if you have a friend at a machine shop or have the machines yourself then you can have adaptes made that uses your old tierod sleeves to use a high mis-alignment heim joint, then have the adapters tig welded to the sleeve's after you figure the proper length that you cut the right hand thread end off the sleeve,,I made mine with a stub that slip's into the sleeve snugly then had it welded,,, then drill your arm's for a grade 8 5/8 bolt and start making sleeves to space the heim joint to the height it takes to obtain no toe change in the full travel of the front tire,,,here's a pic of mine as I was mocking up the pieces, the hex piece on the end of the sleeve is the adapter.

buy the time you buy all the after market uca and other parts then pay someone to align it i wonder how much more it would be for an AlterK.
What ever he does it will require a front end alignment so that part is a wash

You don't need an aftermarket UCA (upper control arm) to do bumpsteer.
Just because you buy a alterkion doesn't mean you can't dial in better bumpsteer. When you are adding thin shims for bump adjustment, you can't expect a kit or custom chassis to be right on out of the box.

Adapter Sleeves from Racecraft - 5/8-18 to 9/16-18 - 3.5" Part # RC21715
http://www.racecraft.com/index.php?m...ex&cPath=92_94
wont work,,both ends are female thread, the 9/16 need,s to be male, but even that wont work because the combination of all the part's will make it too long.

So am I seeing this right? Just the Hotchkis upper control arms by themselves does not correct bump steer? You also need to move the outter tie rod end.

That is correct most of the time. You need to set caster/camber, then work out the bump steer. As you put more caster in it will lower the outer tie rod on a stock style front end.
