Hello,
I recently completed recovering the front buckets for my 1969 Super Bee.
I used new foam and the seat covers are from Legendary Interiors. Everything came out better than expected except that the seat bottoms have some wrinkles around the front corners of the seat. Since this is my first time recovering seats I am not sure if this is normal or if there is a way to eliminate these wrinkles. Any help is appreciated.
Thank You
Damien Hoffert

Been a while since I did the front buckets for one of my Challengers, but I do remember using a hair dryer and massaging some areas where there were some small wrinkles. Also leaving the seats out in the sun for a time helps. My seats looked perfect not long after I redid them.
I'm trying to get motivated to do my Challenger convertible's front buckets now, those Challenger buckets are a PITA so it's not a job where I look forward to doing another pair!

Thanks for the reply. I used a hair dryer and left the the seats in the sun when I was in the process of recovering them. These wrinkles seem to be from the inside seam of the covers. It looks like as the seam is pulled around the corner of the seat the inside seam bunches up but only at the corners. Is this normal?

That sounds like it might be a sewing defect to me, but it's hard to say for sure without pictures. I've sewed a lot of seat covers and the corners are tricky to sew as the material tends to bunch there.
