Long story short, I had a small roof leak by the edge on a one pc roof of a Haulmark trailer. Which in turn, over time ruined my ceiling along the edge. Well last night I ripped all the ceiling and trim down so I can re[place it. Was thinking about using the 1/8th inch thick plastic bathroom type sheets to re-do my ceiling. Should I or shouldn't I use it??????
Thought maybe it would sweat in the humidity maybe???
Just wondering whats the best to use.
thanks

Did you fix the leak? The 1/4" luan from the lumber yard is about $10. per sheet, I don't think you'll find any thing cheaper. Glue it and screw it .

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

The leak was on the front edge of the trailer. The one pc roof DOESN'T go over the edge, which I think is crazy. But yes I am resealing the whole thing and then going to Dura-Line the top. Should last forever. At least I hope, lol.
Thanks for the info guys. Right now it is a huge mess, and hope to make something happen by the weeks end....

I'm looking for some ideas fellas!!!

First is the point where the side walls and ceiling meet, I am moving my lights to that point. Need some pics or ideas of trim at this meeting point. Shouls I leave it radiused with the aluminum, or eliminate the radius and just put trim in the corners???

And then on to the floor. My trailer has carpet in the front which is staying there, and aluminum diamond plate runners where the car sits. But the floor was painted, and now I want linoleum(sp?) but dont want checkerboard. I like the marbel look but not green. Any other colors, and where to get them? And again, pics would be appriciated...

Wanna get this thing done,lol

The bathroom stuff you're talking about is the pebbled fiberglass, right??

If so, they also sell all sorts of trim for that so you can trim your joints as well as all your corners.

I wouldn't glue it just in case it ever has to come down again (another leak, electical problem, whatever ...).

I like linoleum in a trailer as opposed to tiles ... no joints for spilled solvents to seep into - always just got a remnant from a flooring store.

Not trying to get too far off subject but I had a small leak in front of my haulmark, fixed the leak and put cool seal roof coating over the whole top and I swear it kept the inside 5-10 degrees cooler this year, than in past years. while your doing all this work just a suggestion. Back on topic.

One day I will have something cool here.
