I'm looking to put two small round air cleaners on a 68 Road Runner with a dual quad Hemi. I'm using Edelbrock carbs with the large diameters. Anyone know what will fit under the stock hood? Looks like I'd need 2 6 inch filters but fairly low profile.
I suppose I'd consider an oval air cleaner too. Not looking for the stock chrome dome.

By my measurements I think a 2" should fit. Any other input?

If you can get to a machine shop. You can use something like my alternative setup. I have Route 66 K&N dual air filters. I loved the teardrop look but with the linkage on top of the Eddy Carbs. I was restricted from installing them. Setup looks killer. I still have them. When I get my glass hood I'll make use of them. For now I run a modified a Hemi Dual Quad Air cleaner base from PaintItBlack and modified that one to fit with a drop down base for the dual quads. I milled my stacks down from 2" to 1/4" and they fit fine for the Hemi Air Cleaner and the clearance on my 69 Charger.

I've got two new Edelbrock Proflow triangular aircleaners for cheap. Put them on my Hemi while I was fitting it in the car. Never ran with them.
