In my first attempt at a major no box event at the Bottom bulb extravaganza I made it to the 4th rnd before bowing out. I went .029 6.15 on 6.13 to opponent .017 6.52 on 6.51, I knew I could not take the stripe so I sent him, I prolly could of ran on, but the numbers would not have allowed a win. It need be known that the finals consisted of 2 mopar powered cars. Vic Ellinger(Discoquick) and I forget the others name, white duster running 6.30's from the Norwalk/Dragway 42 area. BTW Vic runs a 440 powered 80 Volvo . It was a good weekend though having the car perform flawlessly for the weekend for a change, and a profitable weekend to boot.

It was an exhausting weekend at the BBE race. I was glad to see an all Mopar final. Nick Hastings was driving the Duster. He hops from car to car and can flat out drive in all of them.
