Did all 383 4barrell HP cars come with disc brakes or!!!!!! Also can't find my repair manual, need pic of how 4 speed shifter rods connect to trans and to shifter, this is a 68 383 formula s. Thanks
In 1967 manual disc brakes were standard with the 383. In 1968 they were a non-recommended option. Mine has drums.
Which shifter do you have?

Also it would have the code on the fender tag for disc brakes ????, likely ordered for go fast cheap as it has no radio either., but deluxe trim grade?
On the second row down on the fender tag is the option codes. These are the captial letters. Disc brakes would be a 9 under the "D".
I have the service manual at home, I can see if it shows the Inland shifter setup. That's what my car has. If I can get to the trans in my garage I believe the rods and shifter mechanism are still attached to it.
Also, I've seen all kinds of odd combinations of options on these cars. Mine has the deluxe interior, console and radio. No stripes, tach, woodgrain dash or other things. Originally ordered by a lady in Los Angeles from Hollywood Chrysler Plymouth. She must have been a stout woman.
