There are alot of guys that run them on drag week and
they held up quite well... I was going to buy one but
instead I went with a 518 trans(727 with OD)

I just put one in my Hemi Barracuda this winter. So far I love it!

I have a GV behind the 511 wedge in my 69 Super Bee and love it. My only caution is: make sure your power source is a switched accessory. I was having issues with the controller intermittently shutting down. I had it wired to the ignition power source and was getting power spikes during start. I called GV and they said the low voltage spike during start causes the controller to act up. I moved the main power source to a switched accessory source, problem solved.

GV is bomproof. The unit allows me to run 4.10s in a Dana and get 15-16 mpg highway from a 600+ hp Hemi. What could be more perfect?

No maintainence and no problems in 3 years of running with GV.
