since I did this last.. I see alot of new companies that have alot of new products.. I have a '70 Barracuda I'll soon be working on but I like to collect all the needed parts before starting the work. I need items like, 1/4's, floors, 1 rear frame rail, etc, etc.. My questions are who has the best quality parts for the best prices..I've seen on eBay there are a few 1/4 panels that are complete {up the pillar and to the trunk opening} and some floors that are in sections or complete pans. How are the fitments of these panels? The last time I did this, I "Pro-Streeted" the car. Floor pans were not an issue, I put a large 22 gallon fuel in the trunk, 1/4 panel skins, 'glass front fenders, wheel tubs, etc. This time around, I'm going the "stock" approach.
I'm still up in the air about going to the Nats. But if I do, I'll be comparing what everyone is selling. Doubt I'll be doing any purchasing yet..

So nobody has any input on a company with better quality parts? I was curious about Goodmark or AMD.. I bought from Year One previously and was okay with the parts and workmanship, but like I said, that was 10+ years ago.

X2 i used AMD 1/4's trunk, deck filler and deck lid and i very happy with it on my challenger. The only none AMD parts was the rear valence from good mark . I dealt with stefan "Elitecustombody" for getting my AMD metal he was the cheapest i found and great service each time i ordered

imo I think it is a mistake to buy too much ahead. Plans change and it is not the best thing to have too much stock on hand. Buy as you need it is a better plan.
also sometimes there's quality issues, and you already had the parts for a couple years some companies don't want to deal with returns. Unless your buying nos I would just buy the parts when needed.

I ordered a ton of stuff for my 68 Road Runner from AMD. I took advantage of an offer by a vendor here and got some good pricing and delivery. The parts look very good. I won't know about fitment until this winter, but I don't see anything grossly off. There are some minor details that bug me on the quarters, but not enough to worry about it. One piece trunk looks good. I don't think you would go wrong with AMD stuff. You could use the shipping cost excuse to justify the trip to the nationals

Dont buy AMD outer wheel wells if you don't have to. They were a waste of money as they dont fit the original inner wheel well curve and they don't match the curve of the AMD quarter panels.
110% i said something before about it on here and one of the big distributors saw it and he talked to them and had me contact them.. i have pm'd, emailed, talked to them on the phone and also i have sent pics to them. they have told me they revised them once in the past and would not tell me why. they made several semi promises to me to replace them on thier dime, but would never commit it was always, we will have to check and get back to you. then they just blew me off i didn't expect much anyway... i should follow up and bust thier stones but i have better things to waste time on. like making these fit..
you can make them fit to the radius ok but you need to cut off all of the locating tabs and move them around. all i can say its better then a flat piece of metal and a hammer but not by much!!!

Buy a finished (West Coast) car and save money.
Where's the FUN in that?? Thanks guys.. AMD it is..
It's called miles of smiles and your wallet. I bought a decent running solid car and it took 23 years to get it where it is now. A smilin ride. To do it again, I'd go in hock and buy the best finished car that I could. Enjoy the ride, there is only so much time.
