What do you guys with a 65 B Body run for slicks (no tubs)
I'm looking to get just a used pair of slicks for this weekend vintage races at Byron Dragstrip. My car now has 3800lb SS springs and the longer front hangers.
What size slick should fit?
There is a 27x10.5x15 Phoenix pair and a 10"x27" tall M&H pair for sale locally.
The motor is a 383 and should run high 12s I'm not trying to win it's a fun event.
Here's how it sets with the SS springs and 27" MT street tires.
Thanks
Don

Yes
I had 10.5" M/T's on my '65 Sedan. They rubbed a little. I would go with the 10" slicks.

Wow she looks real nice. If you can get the 27 x 10.5's for a good price I would go with them. You wont get much bigger then that on there anyway and they should work fine. Ron

What happened to those pretty chrome Weld wheels? Glad you found some slicks! Randy B.

Thats cool they fit as I did not think the 65 wheelwell was that big. I have 30 x 9's under my 63. Ron

Hi randy;
I'm keeping the cragers for modern races. The fronts weigh like 4lbs! the rear have MT almost new tires so maybe some street time?
383man Ron... VERY nice 63! I will get a set of torque thrusts for the front. Hopefully my Challenger will sell and I can start my hemi build!..
Thanks guys....
