What kind of '67 Plymouth do you have? In any event, it would be a shame to scrap a full boat (4 bbl/727/ skidplate) Police spec Dip unless it's a heap.

That's what I was thinking too, but I guess that's not what he was asking

It would have come with the firm feel steering. I don't know about swapping the brakes.

If It's a C body, I think the box is different.

Discs likely 10.87, not 11.75.

I agree, the A38/AHB M body cars had the same size rotors as the civilian variants. 11.75" rotors can be found on R body cars such as the Dodge St. Regis.

@67llite: If you are stripping a decent cop M, shame that it may be, there are a lot of parts you can sell to the F/J/M crowd. Grab the drive shaft, 8.25" rear, the front and rear sway bars, the rear shock plates, the 125MPH speedometer, additional coolers, and if it's a 4bbl car then get the kick down lever. These are all very desirable parts.

That sounds like a cool ride. It has drums now? Mopar Action just did a good article on the different 4 piston calipers that were on these cars. The box from the Dip will fit. Should let frim feel go through it first.

the disc brakes will work.
you will need to just pull the spindles and stuff attached between the ball joints.

you need to be sure you reuse your old bolts for the lower ball joints, as they need to have nuts on the end. the m-body threads into the ball joint I think, so they are short bolts.

Will the 67 Pitman arm attach to the newer steering box? If not, what pitman arm is needed to make this swap work?

Police cars had different steering boxes. I had a 1983 and a 1986 Grand Fury Police cars. The steering box in the 1983 had MUCH better road feel. I do not know if the difference was due to the model year or if there were different police packages available.

My Grand Furys had the smaller disk brakes. I believe the brakes will bolt on to a 1967, but the spindle is taller, so it will change the geometry of the front end a bit. There has been a LOT of debate on whether or not this is a problem.

Sorry, but as the owner of several of these, I have to point out they are "Gran" and not "Grand" Furys.
