Use the tar paper won't hold moisture like the foam. Ronnie

The repo foam ones are a joke. Go with the tar paper

It doesn't appear to be tar paper.
Original on left and tar paper on right.

I have a few samples of that paper. After 2 years of looking I found it IS a pulp/paper based product. Unbleached kraft pulp is what I've found. Many of these materials used to be parrafin saturated. That material has the extra waffle pattern on it.

There is a similar material on the outside of 62-65 B body A/C and non A/C heater boxes. In the attached picture you can even see the tar paper like stripe that is used to line up the sheets (like for shingles). I'm guessing it was an old tar paper like material that was used before the modern Tyvek (sp?) house wraps.

The Quanta tank pads are the foam ones. Nothing like OEM.

My original 69 pad was definitely tar paper. Send me your origial pattern, and I'll cut you a new one from the other 95 ft of a roll I have left over.
