You guys with twin turbos what do you do to keep all that heat
Under control? I hear about people getting 400-600 degrees under the
Hood on a hot day!!
Causing all sorts of problems.
Would a water cooled turbo help?

It might but there are no options for that unless your using an OE turbo.

Turbo blankets, coatings and wraps are your friends. Some sort of louvering or a cowl scoop will do wonders at letting alot of the heat out.

Mine isn't quite ready to run yet, but I bought blankets and plan to wrap at least the manifold to turbine inlet piping.

I'm in the planning stages of a twin turbo big block with Indy-1 heads for my 69 Sport Satellite. Just trying to think of everything before I start buying things. My biggest problem is going to be running all the plumbing. It seems from reading different forums that heat is a big issue when street driving. I might have to buy a cowl induction hood just so the heat can escape.

I use a turbine blanket, header wrap on the manifold and downpipe along with shields where needed.... along with a cowl scoop to let the heat out.
