Stalling when stopping, turning hard, or driving on an incline sounds like a float adjustment issue to me. The afb and edelbrock carbs need to have the float drop set in both directions before they are put into use. Take your time and get them set up right on the money.

I have no idea if the blower requires a different float setting from what the manual calls for.

Does it run out of gas when you step on it too? Might want to make sure your fuel lines aren't leaking any air (dried up rubber fuel line connections are very common on old cars), and that the fuel pump is providing enough volume.

IMHO,..650 Eddys on a 8-71? reworked or not, I think your better off running a of set Holley 4150-HP's, they have a four corner idle system, plus a PV that references off of supercharger boost for power enrichment, plus the CFM is 950 each, those 650 are too small IMHO.....if you need a choke set-up Holley offers the 4150, the 4150 HP carb is non choke, but the 4150-HP has screw in air bleeds for better tuning (easier)......

the floats was what I was thinking too. fuel lines are all new with a barry grant sumo that is good up to 2000HP fuel pump thing is like a pool pump lol. it set for like 6.5 -7 lbs on the fuel guage at the carbs and no when I stomp on it it runs just fine thows you back and goes straight. only on inclines or leaving at a stand still like a traffic light...

Bottom of page 9 has some generic blower settings to start off with, but it doesn't say anything about float settings. Personally I would call Edelbrock and see what they say.

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/mc/carbs_acc/pdf/carb_owners_manual.pdf

In my mind it's a fuel volume issue, either by the floats not being in the right spot for your setup or it's just not getting enough gas for some strange reason. Next time it quit I would pull over and pull the top off one of the carbs to verify how much gas is in the bowls.

Has it always done this or is this stalling issue a recent thing?
