I picked up a repro wood grain ball from Year One a few years ago. My shifter is a new Hurst Comp shifted. It appears the threads are different, as the ball wont secure to the shifter.

What can I do to use it?

Thanks.

Can it be re-tapped?

check in a hurst shifter catalog, they used to have a few differant thred adaptors that would adapt handle to shifter

had to use one with the hurst T-handle and a stock truck shifter

i run a hurst promatic and an older T handle fit right on with the lock nut only

Thanks for the help. I'll look around for an adapter, if they're still available.
