What color would a 4 speed trans be for a 70 Hemi charger?

Transmission is not painted, bare steel. There are a bunch of inspection marks and numbers stenciled on. Only the bell housing was sprayed engine color.

All muscle era A 833 4 speed transmissions are natural Cast Iron.
Roger Gibson suggested in a Mopar Muscle article to bead blast the case, then wipe it down with 85w gear oil, then towel dry. The oil helps prevent flash rust.
