Last I saw he was helping his son with a '68 Barracuda stocker.

That's cool. Good luck to them.

Anyone remember Larry Peternel ? ... he lives just south of Milwaukee. If everyone had to build their own stuff .. he would have been a TOP FIVE car.
He lives just west of me in Bristol WI - great guy, and a genius and making a lot out of pretty much nothing. I believe he still has his last (mid 90's) Firebird Pro Stocker. He welded up some headers for me a long time ago, I helped him at the Grove just a few weeks before that, he said "we'll call it even"

I was diggin' through some old S/S &n Drag Illustrated and in the Sept 1982 issue I found this picture:
I did a Google search and found this thread!
Any other color pictures of the Imperial?

Was that the same car the Petosa Brothers got a hold of? Funny, I also saw an ex-Imperial Pro Stocker smack the wall, but it was at e-town, with blown hemi power! Then I saw the same car in the early 90's doing bracket car duty at Moroso in Palm Beach...
