At what avg speeds should the tranny kickdown to the next gear, and to what gear (3rd to 1st, 3rd to 2nd), when you put the gas pedal to the floor? If that makes sense. I can't really hear a definate kick down when I push the pedal to the floor, I know my cars loud, but I should be able to tell if it goes from 3rd to 1st or 2nd.

The speeds vary a little with the year but these are typical:

How would you suppose those speeds equate to a 440 with a 4.10 gear? + or - those speeds?

4.10 gears will lower the road speed at which WOT kickdown locks out. Figure about 75% of the 3.23 speed.

The transmission doesn't know road speed, it only knows output shaft speed and that varies with the axle ratio.
