What kind of shocks on the front, You'll need 90/10's or adjustable shocks to get the front up and transfer the weight. What tires and tire pressure.

Several things you may want to do if you are planning to pursue this.
WHEN VIDEOING Get someone to stand behind the drivers side of the car. Do this everytime you video so it will always be the same angle of view. From up in the stands you really can't tell much.
TIRES With that heavy a car tubes are OK but, I run without them. Your tire pressure may be a little low. Heavy car with radials may run more than you think. Low pressure makes it easier to spin tire on rim. Like someone suggested rim screws. If this is not a serious venture and you do not want to carve up your wheels...Remove the tires and clean the bead with solvent. Then install with no soap just water. You can try a light mist of trim adhesive... You may also hate me later when you can not easily get the tires off the rims. Trim adhesive is really hard to work with as it also tries to prevent getting the tire on the bead.
SUSPENSION You have a land yaht. Use all that frontal weight to your advantage. Some 90/10 shocks up front will help greatly if you don't already have them. Slapper bars, Super Stock leafs, or Caltracs also help push the tire in the pavement and prevent spring rap.
NOTE Your car really didn't spin as bad as you think. If you notice the car never failed to accelerate. If you dead hook your engine will bog down and the converter will stay in stall longer. There is a fine line in this. You want tire speed off the line. You also don't want to spin all the way throught the 60 ft, which you came close to doing. Fix the tire and wheel problem and get your suspension to work for you. If you are building up RPM on the line stop that. Let the slow people do that. The lower RPM you can start from the better your converter will work for you. Some combos will just not act nice leaving at low RPM's but that can be fixed.
Good luck Happy Racing

You guys are right about no weight transfer. The car was set up for street handling, and has the 0.96" T-bars, sway bars, and Koni shocks. The tires are also pretty old and about worn out. Funny thing is the old 451 engine with about 100 less HP and a 10" 3800 stall converter would 60' better than the new 500" engine with a 9" 5,000 stall converter. On the otherhand, the easy launches are probably keeping the stock 8-3/4" rear from breaking?
If you are running a front sway bar that can really kill front end lift/transfer
