i'm wondering if i will have any cooling problems with my 318 now that i put a 340 intake/4bbl car on. i didnt know until i took it all apart, but my dad wasnt running a thermostat when it was stock! the only time the temp gauge would climb was when it was sitting in traffic in the summer heat. when i put her all back together, i threw in a 180* thermostat, but the car doesnt have a shroud, which i'm told makes a big difference in the cooling efficiency. i didnt get a chance to take it out on the road yet cause i'm still trying to get her to idle right, but should i have any problems without a shroud? thanks

should do fine for test and tune, what kind of fan set up does it have? what intake and 4-v carb? just bumping to a 4-v should not change any thing unless it way lean or timeing out of whack what condition is the rad in ? run it till you find a stock shroud for it,I have done that many times
