I have an intermitant problem with the brake lights remaining on when I park the car (69 bee). How does the switch bracket adjust in relation to the pedal?

Compress it a bit more. There's no adj to the nth degree just want the pedal to compress it to a certain extent so that the pedal has to move down "just a bit" to let it come out & make continuity. Snug the screw fairly tight

I'm not sure what you mean when you refer to compression. Can this be explained more clearly?

Sure bro, the sw is spring loaded w a round knob on the end that contacts the pedal arm. W the knob all the way out you have continuity (light on) & you need to have the pedal pushing the knob in further (compressed/no continuity) so that it takes a hair more (than what you have now) pedal travel away (downward) b 4 the knob reaches the end of it's travel & the br lite comes on. EDIT borrow a VOM & w the ohmmeter function you'll b able to get it right as you'll b able to tell exactly when it makes/breaks contact (disconnect both female connectors b 4 using the ohmeter function on the male switch terminals not the white/pink female ones)

I appreciate your attempt to help, I understand the function but not the adjusting procedure. Where is the adjusting screw located?

There's a slot or bit of play on the col bracket. You get the sw where you want it then tighten the screw
