Dartman928 OP master Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 2,792 IN	Well working on the car today took off the v/c and ripped the gasket. I think they were the fel-pro black thick ones. I think they are about 5-6 years old. Is there anything better out there now a days

The Moroso works fine, but it is a bit more prone to tear if the surfaces arent aligned well. RIP Monte Smith Your work is a reflection of yourself, autograph it with quality. Eddy heads and MP aluminum valve covers. The Moroso blue silicone gaskets worked well for me also. The Superformance gaskets are made out of a very durable material...won't be surprised if they last at least 5-6 yrs...with 1 lash adjustment a season! BTW..Greg is a REAL GOOD GUY!...and a Moparts member!

The Cometic gaskets I've used have held up really well, but I think you need to have flat machined surfaces on both the heads and valve covers. Seems like the FelPros fiber gaskets have been pretty much a "one and done" every time I've tried to reinstall them. I probably have a set sitting around for an emergency, but that's the only time I'll use them again.
