Ok so i need to replace the pwr steering box in my challenger so i'm looking to upgrade from stock. A very popular option seems to be the firm feel box and the fast ratio arms. Does anyone just make a different ratio PS box without arms? I think that 71 340's had a different box. right?
A note on the fast ratio- i'm hearing claims that the pump needs to be upgraded as well to keep up with it, and the center link is different. Is this true?
Im pulling the column today. Figured i would just rebuild it anyway, but Its stupid you cant just get the box out. So i'm sure ill be posting for help breaking this thing down and putting it back.
Thanks people

No. Not currently.

Only in late 71 after March or something. Same box as the T/A with the internal stops changed for the long pitman arm.

You can keep the old pump. But if you are really sawing your wheel back and forth quick like in an autocross, you should upgrade to the Saginaw power steering pump.
There is no special centerlink for fast ratio.
Make sure you have headpipe room for the longer pitman and idler (if you choose to put that in too). Curtain headers will not fit too. Check the Firmfeel.com website.
