i need to buy a new carb for my 273 and was wondering what i should get. it is a 273 comando motor with an auto. The motor is stock.

the original would have been an AFB so if keeping ths same intake you'd need a small a 4bbl as possible 500-600 cfm with the AFB bolt pattern. As far as what is available now someone else will address that.

The problem with any aftermarket carb is that your air cleaner won't fit anymore. There are rebuild services for the original carbs that will fix sloppiness in the throttle shafts and any other wear issues.
