I've got a '69 Charger R/T currently with a 383 and Pertronix setup. Now I've got 2 'old school' tune-up point/dwell/tach analyzers (one's from the '70s the other the '80s) and neither of them apparently are compatible with the Pertronix, as when I hook them up to the coil I get NO RPM readings.

What brand(s) tune-up tachs out there are compatible with a Pertronix system?

Thanks!
David

I thought about asking if it were wired correctly but thought could not be the problem.

i've done it, so it's on my minds most times when I connect a tach.

Ok, so in other words noone's had trouble with even a old dwell/tach/point meter working with Pertronix? I'll doublecheck the wiring. I'll also try out the meters on another car- it's possible I suppose that the meters have gone kaput...

Actually it turned out that one of my meters had died The other one - and yes when I swapped it to the other coil connection - worked just fine. So we're good- thanks all for the help!
