Built a motor for a friend about 25 years ago. The heads were 516 closed chamber ported a ton!!! There was no welding on the heads. The owner said he used a 440-1 manifold that fit. I told him the ports cant be that big. The Max Wedge gaskets were too big. he sent me this picture. The gasket is covering the heat crossover. Can anyone figure out what port size this is??

No heat crossover . they're max heads. Look alot like the ones we're putting on my brothers 383. You'll likely need to weld a standard port intake to use em. (ie most intakes,, victor,,)
Read his post again he says the gasket is covering the heat crossover .

Covering the cross over isnt a problem unless you run in cold weather. If the 440 1 has max ports it probally wont work.Rocky

The 440-1 heads are max wedge port size (they match the max wedge intake gasket). We run them on our big motor.
