Anybody know how many leafs are supposed to be in the rear pack for a 1936 Plymouth/Dodge coupe? Leafs now have 10 pieces.

I can't find a listing for the number of leafs in the 30s spring packs. Most I remember seeing were all wrapped with tin and the tin was only removed when the rear end reached the ground, mostly....

Seems to me the few I saw without the tin wrap had 5 or 6 leafs in the spring pack. That would match up with your 10 pieces, two pieces per leaf, they usually broke at the center bolt. Gene

Springs are original narrow springs, 1 3/4 inches wide. To clarify there are 10 leaves.

Sounds about right, my 38 Plymouth had about that many leafs, too. The tin cover was to hold the grease in, you were supposed to grease the leafs every so often, if it's wasn't 105 out I would get in the attic and dig out my FSM for the 38.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.
