I have just fitted a 130 amp 3 wire denso with internal red, just want to check i've got the wiring ok.
Car has msd, also i have bypassed the firewall plug and ammeter.
I have run main power and the sense wire to large stud on relay, sense will be fused, ign is connected to the blue wire from ign switch, also can the lamp wire be connected to the voltmeter.

I would NOT run the sense wire and the output to
the same point... it'll sense the output and not
the battery... hook up the sense some where after
it comes out of the battery.... I dont think you
can use the lamp lead as a voltage... that wire
shouldnt have power UNLESS the alt quits

The battery runs to an isolator on the dash, then from there to the relay.
Could i put it there and also run a wire from there to feed the volt meter
