Anybody have an idea what the proper torque should be for aluminum wheels? I have looked through all my documentation and can't find anything that tells me what my Billet Specialties Street Lites should be torqued at.

And, check them again after your first drive.

Honestly, it could have been much worse, lol! I was only driving about 15 MPH at the time. Very embarassing though!

I had a friend back in high school that was going down the highway 55mph pulling a trailer and evidently didn't hook it up correctly or have the chains hooked up and he said that he was just cruising along jamming some music and looked to the side and saw the trailer passing him. I still chuckle thinking about that.

That sounds about right, been torquing lugs at about 90-100lbs forever, never had a problem, it beats the tire shops that blast them on with a 400+lbs impact gun for 5 seconds a lug, without a torque stick...

I use my 100 pound torque stick.Been doing them for years at home and work like that.Only ones I go less on are he small foreign ones.Never any problems.Im glad they made the sticks.Using a torque wrench at work was a real pain.Rocky
