Sorry, no results from me. Yesterday weather was cool and kind of rainy. Today though absolutely beautiful. I live about 2 miles from the track.

78degrees
2464 density altitude
53.1 dew point

Would be a nice day to either be watching or racing. Good luck to those racing!

Thanks for the update Jeff. What kind of car does Jim Keys have?

Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

Wow Dave thought that jims car would only go as fast as Bob's not faster with the new found power. Great job dave with the pure stock motor. JIm has got to be happy now. Jake

Only got a second for a quick update.

The best pass I could get the whole weekend was 11.78 (spiining a little, 1.90 60 ft.) 95mph-1/8 118-1/4. I weighed the car at the track, 3550 race weight.

There were three thing different than on the dyno.

1) 2ft. of open pipe on the dyno instead of full exhaust on car.

2) Fuel supply from regulator back (I am running a 3/8 line with a single holley blue pump at the tank with a 3/8 pickup)

3) Ignition, I ran my distributor on the dyno with the shops MSD ignition box and coil. I am running a SMP LX101 (same thing as a MP chrome box) with a jacobs coil.

Needless to say I was dissapointed but it was the first time out with this motor, need to try some things but my gut says there is not 1/2 a second left in it, but I hope I'm wrong.

I have an LM-1 but the plug is frozen in the bung so no A/F measurements.

I did see a mid seventies GTO (Nova) running it looked like it had a BB pontiac not a SB chevy. I saw some low 12 second passes later he was running slicks running low 11's. Dave said he dropped out and was just making some passes.

We pitted next to Bob K and got to get to chat with him and his daughter a little bit, very friendly guy, I asked about Tom Hoover and he had many good things to say.

Hope all that went had a good time racing and watching.

WOW What a difference a year makes. Car count was down a lot from last year. When eliminations started there were 4 FAST cars in the lanes and the black Roadrunner was not one of them Lots of F/S guys missing as well, along with some new ones. Weather was perfect.

What the heck. Thats like a 200hp difference. I was thinking maybe the air was bad, but 1800 corrected is great air. Is this the gto we have been hearing about for years?

your MPH seems like it would get you to 11.50 or better, the A/F meter would tell a lot i bet.

I come up with about 100HP difference. (420 RWHP vs. 515 RWHP)

I think this is the car Donny Brass mentioned as a GM 350. Dave said the guy came expecting to run tens. I guess he was so dissapointed he dropped out and bolted on slicks for the rest of the event. The quickest I heard that he ran on slicks was 11.2-ish.

I saw the last run he made and he pulled the front up pretty good. I went back to look at it at his trailer. Are Wilwood disc's legal for these cars?

It's def. making more power than mine, but not nearly as much more as I was hoping you were. Have you dyno'd it on that dyno before? Did it make more power this time? You have to get that think to hook.

What was the "smallblock" gm running with the poly's? What kind of mph?

that is the car... it's neat but honestly I was rooting for either of you guys to run a low number......

I loves me some small block, no matter what the make
