The small block record will be crushed next weekend, no doubt... Patterson will be bringing the smoke.

Nothing like puting the pressure on Dave. I will be happy to have a shot at breaking the record. Crush... I doubt it. I am making good power but have always had a tough time getting it to the track.
I wont be able to do a shake-down passes before Martin. The motor came off Koffels dyno on wednesday. I painted and dropped it in thursday and I am just now finishing connecting everything up. When I figure out how to post some video I will have more to show.

Been busy for sure. The car will be heavier than in the past, not sure what it will be. Anyone going, please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself. Look forward to meeting some new people and puting a face to some names.

F.A.S.T. is the most interesting drag category currently run in America. Wish we had that over here in Iceland I have enjoyed every article about these cars I have encountered and admired the cleverness of their owners.

Holy cow!! 644HP in a 3,450ish car should EASILY run 130MPH+.......
644 hp i thought most of these 340's were in the 500/ 540 hp range last year! Thats a big jump even if the dyno is "happy" cant wait for the results!

It is never easy to break a record espeacial in FAST but it looks like you have plenty of smoke! Can't beleive I will be missing this race for the first time in 5 years.
Took 5 years to relize work should come first.
you should also be able to follow the action at 1320go.com
the car numbers should also have names on the site

Was the 644 through the manifolds or a set of headers ?

Sorry, no results from me. Yesterday weather was cool and kind of rainy. Today though absolutely beautiful. I live about 2 miles from the track.

Only got a second for a quick update. The best pass I could get the whole weekend was 11.78 (spiining a little, 1.90 60 ft.) 95mph-1/8 118-1/4. I weighed the car at the track, 3550 race weight. There were three thing different than on the dyno. 1) 2ft. of open pipe on the dyno instead of full exhaust on car. 2) Fuel supply from regulator back (I am running a 3/8 line with a single holley blue pump at the tank with a 3/8 pickup) 3) Ignition, I ran my distributor on the dyno with the shops MSD ignition box and coil. I am running a SMP LX101 (same thing as a MP chrome box) with a jacobs coil. Needless to say I was dissapointed but it was the first time out with this motor, need to try some things but my gut says there is not 1/2 a second left in it, but I hope I'm wrong. I have an LM-1 but the plug is frozen in the bung so no A/F measurements. I did see a mid seventies GTO (Nova) running it looked like it had a BB pontiac not a SB chevy. I saw some low 12 second passes later he was running slicks running low 11's. Dave said he dropped out and was just making some passes. We pitted next to Bob K and got to get to chat with him and his daughter a little bit, very friendly guy, I asked about Tom Hoover and he had many good things to say. Hope all that went had a good time racing and watching.

your MPH seems like it would get you to 11.50 or better, the A/F meter would tell a lot i bet.

I saw the last run he made and he pulled the front up pretty good. I went back to look at it at his trailer. Are Wilwood disc's legal for these cars?

It's def. making more power than mine, but not nearly as much more as I was hoping you were. Have you dyno'd it on that dyno before? Did it make more power this time? You have to get that think to hook.
What was the "smallblock" gm running with the poly's? What kind of mph?

This was my first time racing instead of watching with the 74 duster 360.First time back on a dragstrip in about 7-8 years and first time the car had been on a dragstrip period.Best pass was Saturday morning when it ran a 14.50 @ 94 MPH.Had several 14.60's but was consistenly in the high 14's.I did not get to have a best of three race due to some cars dropping out for breakage.I still had a blast and made 20 passes in all. Can't wait for Stanton!
Sounds like a good first outing .

I think the aqua Firebird is Mahoneys, anyone know what it ran. Second question, does a 1967 Hemi car have 14" or 15" tires? I know 1966 Hemi cars had 14" tires.
