I'm not real sure, but I think they might have put sealer between the top of the fenders where they bolt to the top of the inner fenders. Someone else might be able to varify this.

The fenders had a sealer between the tops and inner fenders. Unless you see an original car or one redone correctly, most times they won't have it. I know on my own cars I skipped using it as I never drove them in the rain anyways. Some cars were pretty messy from the factory, others you don't see it.

Welded seam at firewall to cowl joint had sealer oozing out. This sealer is painted. Also there is a black blob on this seam directly above the left side of the master cylinder put there after the body was painted. There is an identical unpainted blob on the passenger side also. Bonus: factory made an orange paint daub above the master cylinder.
Sorry, I inspected the dark blobs closely and found they actually are painted - the paint just didn't adhere to the sealer well, but the paint is there. The firewall-to-cowl joint had sealer placed on the joint, then it was clamped and spot welded, causing sealer to ooze out. More photos later.

On my dart there was a blob of seam sealer at ea. corner where the cowl meets the fender aprons.
Think the guy that did your Dart was on his second day while one of my old Demon's must have been his first. On the Pass. side cowl to fender area of this one Demon there was a giant blob of sealer, almost like the sealer gun got away from this guy and stuck in that blob were two nuts for the fender stud in the door jamb. All this mess was painted yellow with the rest of the car.
