I was wondering where most of you set your adjustable thermostat at? I have a dual flex-a-lite fan setup with a 180 degree thermostat. Should I set it to come on at 180, or lower so it starts cooling before it gets to that temperature?

I'm trying to get optimal cooling out of this as the temperatures here in Arizona are brutal in the summer. During the winter months I have trouble getting it up to 180 degrees!

Thanks!!

If you have trouble getting it up to thermostat temperature. Your thermostat probably has a leak.

As for temperature for the fan controller. It's the OFF temperature that is important. You want it higher than the thermostat temperature. Even without numbers you want it on only when you drive slow or stop. Typically this will be when you lose the air flow through your grille. If the fan runs when you are on the highway, it's just wasting electricity.
