I saw the post on leaf spring relocation in the tech archives. Didn't look that difficult. Who here has done it and how tough a job was it? Any pictures? What about the mini tubs? Seems like you would just cut a slice out of the inner wheel wells, move it over to the frame rail and fill the new gap left in the wheel house. Any feedback with the tubs? Can you run a 15x12 wheel in a 70 Coronet using this setup? Thanks for the help!

I think you can run a 12" wide rim and a 29" tall tire

No mini tubbed B bodies in my neighborhood...

You might post this on the race board. Probably get more responses.

It is fairly straight forward - need to be careful on cuts and you need to be good with welding/fabrication. I did a 70 Charger which should be identical. I have 17" of tire clearance. Given 1.5" of side wall clearance, you can easily run a tire 14" wide with room to spare. I'll be running 18x12 wheels on the back with LOTS of extra room.

Here are some photos of what I did (based on www.bigblockdart.com as a guideline): Click on the first photo and there is wording/description as well.

Bob and Gale, thanks for the links. Great work! Looks pretty straight forward. Just measure twice and cut once, as an old body-shop friend of mine used to say. Gale I noticed you reinforced the top of your frame rails by welding in some extra metal. Is this step always necessary? Any other pictures or links out there?
