are you wanting to build a street/strip or a race car?

Most of the kits are about the same.... 4 link is better
EDIT
Take a look at the S&W kits

you will need a whole bunch more than a back half with that combo . all the kits are pretty close price wise but make sure you get a pro kit not one of then 1/2" ladder bar elcheapo kits. chassis engineering has nice kits, morrison has some. or I'll just make you a smokin deal on this

Applied Racing technology (ART) has a really nice kit, so does Jerry bickel and quarter max. If it was me, I'd put a 4-link in it since the car is going to be cut up anyhow, why not go with the best setup possible...

I used all the ART stuff to build my car. And I agree, if you are going to cut it up get a 4 link, it's only a few hundred dollars more and you'll have the best suspension.

While you're at it just go ahead and front clip it with a strut front end. That's what I did. I figured if I'm going this far I might as well do it right one time.

Ok...I have a dumb question. I have a back half 68 Dart w/ladder bars and coil overs. I was told that this setup is the easiest to make work but still put the power to the ground.
I have heard from a few guys that a 4 link can be a real pain to get correct because of all the adjustments that you can make. Now I dont know since this is my first back half. It could also be that my car will be a street only car too..

there is absolutely nothing wrong with a ladder bar car, they work just fine.you will hear that all the time. keep in mind there are only a few 4 link positions that will work. so don't get caught up in the 4 link-ladder bar debate. enjoy your car it will be fine.

There was a little learning curve but it's not bad. Four links actually work better for the street than a ladder bar. Ladder bar cars plant the tires harder and the leverage is different. That's why you see ladder bar cars hiking the front end so high and four link cars just move forward without as much lift. Do ladder bars work? Sure they do and if that's what you already have keep it but if you're building a car why not just four link it?

I installed a 2x3 frame and laddder bar kit from chassis engineering in my friends Duster. I liked the frame. I was not happy with the halo bar for the cage though. It didn't fit up tight enough to the roof for me so I made some changes to it. I would use thier frame rails again.
