will be using the Fast EZ efi. which is better, single plane or dual plane intake?
it's a mild combo at 450 hp. just wondering if the single plane would have better fuel distribution with the throttle body injection.
what say you?

The intake that best matches the rest of the combo and intended purpose of the car.

A TBI intake is still wet just like a carb setup.

I've seen fuel distribution problems with both intake types, remember MP used to have folks glue popsicle sticks in manifolds. It doesn't mater if its a carb or throttle body, same issue. On something mild I'd go with the Eddy RPM and enjoy the additional mid range torque.

it's already got an air-gap on it so i'll try it on that first. the injectors should atomize the fuel better and that can change the dynamics of the intake somewhat. i guess i was just wondering if anyone has actually tried both.
this car street driven very often and will never see a race track. it runs good for what it is but the efi should help in certain area's for better driveability IMO.

Funny this question just came up. i'm about to put my Ez efi on this weekend.
Running a Eddy Rpm intake now on a mild 340 and one of the coolant plugs/ports is too small for the EFI temp sensor, i was going to open it up, but i have a airgap i thought about trying and was wondering the same. I might for fun do a comparison between the two and see if there is a difference.
I assume there will be because of different intakes but a difference in driveability maybe..

since it will atomize fuel better you can " push it" a little more then a carb - meaning a big single plane would still be driveable where a carb would have more issues.
I run (2) 1000 CFM EZ TB's on top of a tunnel ram - on a stock stroke 360. There is a bog nowhere! Try that with a carb.

What I am getting at is that you should have no issues with a single plane at all due to the fuel being precisely metered and not having to rely on a vacuum signal like a carb.

360 with a ported air gap, 1" open spacer and 1000cfm EZ-efi. Runs good. No bogs, and keeps the A/F consistant to what you choose. Learns as it runs. Still tinkering with cruise A/F and WOT A/F for best results.
