I used M/T Sportsman Fronts for about 4 years. Took them off when I flat spotted one...little old lady pulled out in front of me.
They drove OK, but were bad about following ruts.

I threw on a pair of 165R15 radial tires and the car drives MUCH better. I just don't like the looks of them since they are a little less than 26" tall and my old Sportsmans were 28".

If someone would make a 28" tall radial that's skinny, it'd be perfect.

A lot of folks are running the M/T Sportsman S/R radials up front w/ ET Street radials out back. The tallest version is 26" though. I have asked and suggested a few times to Jason Moulton on yellowbullet about a 28" tall version of this tire. He says they have no plans to make one.

there was a guy at drag week that was running low 7s when his chute didnt open. the radials probably saved his life and car.

I've use several different types and sizes of tires on the front, M/T ET fronts, 24 inch, 26 inch, Moroso 7.10x15 and the 165x15 radails mounted on a 3.5 or 4.0 inch wide rim. I have mixed then with radials on the rear, M/T ET Street Radials and with the M/T ET Street bias plys, which is not a good mix on the street At the track with no ruts the car drives fine , it doesn't matter which front or rears I mix them with at the track My car runs 128. MPH, not 130 yet It does weigh 3450 with me in it at the track, goes straight as a arrow, usually, at the track It does wonder, hunt, and drive bad on the street mixing radials and bias plys

Nope, not speed rated. Just regular 165R15 radials. They are perfectly fine for the drag strip though. Speed ratings count when you're talking about sustained speeds, not short bursts at the drag strip.

I drove around on the street for 3+ years w/ 26 x 4.5" M/T ET Fronts. They drove the same as the Sportsmans...OK, but wandered and followed ruts. It was ok to me, but the radials up front drive a lot better.

I had the MT bias on the frt with bias rears. The car was a nightmare on the street and the strip was just as bad.Put 165 80 15 radials on frt bias rear and its great.Even at 120 it tracks straight and true.Rocky

I have the Pro-Tracs on the front of my car with ET radials on the rear and it handles fine and has a small contact patch.I just love the old school look of the tires on Torque Thrusts

I run BF Goodrich TA Radials on the front. The car handles great. I am running MT 325 50 15's on the rear.
My car runs 135 mph in the 1/4. When the track is prepped my wife could handle the car at 135 mph. Straight as an arrow.

I have been running the M&H drag radial front 185/75-15 it's a dot tire. Changed from Hoosier Dot front bais ply tire that liked to fallow ruts and grooves. It's not as lite as some front drag tires but has good road manners.

I just ordered a pair of 2.75/60 15 M/T drag radials for my D150. I race it once in awhile as its consistent and goes rounds but spins once in awhile and I`ve lost because of it. I`m anxious to try them on front I have 2.55/70 15 Pep Boy radials.

I'm planning to replace the (Long Overdue) General XP 2000's with a pair of Michelin Hydroedge like I run on my Daily driver in 215/65 R15, they are so good in the rain i think their worth running since I know the Drag Radials out back are so bad in unexpected bad weather.
