I have a 493 big Block using a drag race P-850 Quick Fuel carb, 10.1 compression. What brand/type spark plugs works best in a 493? I am presently using in my 493 NGK R5670-8. Any recommendation shall be appreciated, Thanks

NGK's are very good. Here's an interesting article to help you figure out the rest...

Autolite 85s or os it 25s, no it's 85s my memory is slipping. If you are running ignition upgrades such as a MSD up the gap to .060.

Careful, your character's showing!

What heads are you running? I like the Nippondenso Iridium plugs in my Savoy with Indy heads and 11-1 compression

Spark plug reading might be helpful IF they could actually be removed without burning my fingers on the headers.

I'm using 906 heads with 2.14" intake valves installed and mildly ported.

Those 8's seem a bit cold for you what you have there. With a 10:1 iron headed motor I would think NKG "6" heat range for street driving and "7" if you are racing.
