I'm installing my Lunati roller. They want it installed on a 106* centerline which is 4* advanced.

The 4* advance is there to make up for timing chain slack, etc once the engine is run. HOWEVER, since I'm running a gear drive, the cam will never lose this 4* of advance. So, should I still install it at 106* or should it be moved? With this motor combo bottom end torque is not an issue so I can afford to give up a bit there.

any installed centerline # is just a suggestion. it's always builders choice depending on the application. what seems like optimum for one combo isn't always the same for another. just consider where you want the power band to begin and end, then decide from there.
