i cant remember the rule on wheather its reversed or not.is it ,if you switch the wires and it advances its not reversed but if it retards it is?

Digital boxes are correct which ever way the timing is most advanced

Analog boxes (which a 6AL is) is which ever way the timing is the most retarded.
