Anybody using one of these kits? They look to be a good kit for the money. Or any other recommendations for a similar kit with a comparable price to the TVS kit?

Thanks

Waiting for Steve (AutoXcuda) to show up... He's been auto crossing & running road courses with his daily driver 68 Cuda for years & after many upgrades & improvements recently added the full Hotchkiss TVS kit.. He seems very pleased..... While @ MATS I took a ride in the Hotchkiss T/A & it was certainly impressive...

Shoot a PM to DARIUS too. He did a Hotchkiss install a few months back and is quite happy with it.

I've run an upgraded suspension for years. Then went the next step to a Hotchkis TVS last year.

There are many happy Hotchkis TVS customers here and on another forum Steve (AutoXCuda) frequents. Most of them are on the other site which is mostly made up of enthusiasts interested in driving fast around corners.

You can see a few TVS-equipped Mopars in this video at a recent track day we put on for H-Team members:

Is there a special kit that is under that yellow Hotchkiss Challenger? Is it simply called the Hotchkis TVS kit and that is what I should ask for when ordering it?

Cool stuff, and I've been watching your Youtube videos.

So Steve, what all do you like best about the TVS kit? And what all have you found that it does better with all your road and track experience that compared to other components and upgrades you have done before that don't do quite as well?

Well, I don't consider myself to have all kinds of road and track experiance. To me that someone that's run competitively with a purpose built racecar. I'm a novice driver.

But I had experience driver Bob Reed drive the car with the new TVS system. He's run pro touring series in SCCA. He is the one driving in the video that was taken at the drivers rear bumper cam. He drove the car before the Hotchkis stuff was put on too. Bob's comments were to get better tires and brakes. The chassis and motor were good to go.

The front torsion bars are the biggest jump when I went to .99" T-bars and added front and rear sway bars.

I did a big overhaul/improvement last summer when I went to a complete TVS system. Most the the improvement I did before were replaced with Hotchkis TVS parts. At that time I did another huge jump in torsion bar size to 1.14". I was really worried about the ride. But the Hotchkis Bilstein shocks made it drive nearly as nice as the .99" t-bars and in many instances better. That probably has to do with the Hotchkis subframe connectors too. This stuff is sort of cumulative.

Steve – Your car looked great on the track last time out! Are you going to get different tires?

When I can save up the $$$

I need new 17x9 rims to go with the new 275/40/17 tires. And I want the ET Rims Minilites or the Vintage Wheel Works Minilites. So.... $1500 in rims and $600 in tires.

What the secret to the steering in the Hotchkis Challenger ? were race parts used to make it steer so well ?

Could you elaborate what mean by "steer so well"?

It has a steering quickener added to it. That just makes it steer quicker, not necessarily better. It won't give you more road grip. That is better for a tight autocross than a road course. But still many people like it for a road coarse too.

Mopork – What part of the steering are you referring to? If you’re referring to its ability to corner well and stick to the road surface (compared to a stock Challenger), that’s from the corrected geometry of our TVS package. Without corrected camber gain, caster, pinion angle, and a sway bar, sticking to the road surface is very challenging…pun intended. It’s not smoke and mirrors or rocket science, it’s suspension engineering and completely attainable by installing our TVS kit.
