Gotta apropriately upgrade to match the increased power level.
Bill and I have had great luck with Dynamic. I'll give ya a case to build to speed things up.
Nevertheless, fun hanging today. My bro ran out in finals by .002!

Hey Hunter not bad numbers for the new combo. 1.72 isn't bad at all for 4000+ lbs! No need to build anything special, just put good parts in it DC
yeah Chris (440pursuit) told me when i dropped the new engine the trans wouldn't hold...lesson learned i guess. My old 67 'net would 60 foot in the 1.65-1.68 range. I'd think this should be in the high 1.50... these drag radials might not get it done though. Along w/ the trans I'd do axles as well.
I wasn't worried so much about et just mph and not hurting the motor...did pretty good w/ that but broke the trans. The 6-pack really pulled hard down track. Felt like it was still pulling hard at the line.

So who won between you and the black RR?Looks like he was chasing you down..............
You will be back and flogging it in no time.
I won. 11.93 to his 12.52 Probably fall before I can get it done. We go on vacation Friday for 2.5 weeks then another vacation at the end of Aug. I'll drop the pan later today if I get a few minutes.

You had the advantage out of the "hole". Good hook + Strong low and midrange torque + Big Cubes/Six Pack induction = low ets/high mph. That 68' Bird had great midrange but not enough oats to leave out of the "hole" with you. BTW did the Chally spin a bit leaving the line? (Racer 007 -3rd clip)
Actually I spun a little and came out soft because I have stock axles, I think I had a better light .060. The Challey is an SRT-8 With a blower. He's a freind of mine, He can't get it hooked and he had to add 500 rpm to the rev limiter. He had it at 6200 and w/ the blower it makes power way up in the rpms. Once I get a trans and some Mosers I'm going to load the convert some, dead stomp it and try 6500.

You dont HAVE to spend a pile on a 727. We put autozone rebuild parts in one behind a 900hp stroker in a B body. Car went 5.90 in the 1/8th on the back bumper every pass. Engine broke an aluminum rod after 5years of hard running. The trans never did break or give ONE issue. We build our own and have built several. As of now we have never run a true "race" part in one and never broke one....
How heavy of a car and what gear?
