Got a friend with a '73 Duster. It has a slant 6 in it and he recently put a 1979 Carter 2 barrel carb on it to make it the "super 6" package. He has all the parts, but needs the top linkage that connects the carb to the turn buckle. Any ideas on where to find that piece?

I am familiar with super six setup, but I don't know what you mean by a turn buckle (a tunbuckle doesn't exist in this setup). There are three "linkage" attachments to the carb, the throttle cable, the choke rod, and the kickdown rod assembly.

Perhaps you could narrow down your question to one of these.

Super Six kickdown linkage setups are available on Ebay practically every day.

Otherwise, you could use a Bouchillon cable kit:

Thanks for the info, but I wanted to respond to the previous question too in case you can provide any more information.

My buddy told me, "the carb is linked to a C shaped linkage or bracket. On the lower side of that bracket there is a rod that goes down to the transmission. He needs the piece that goes from the C shaped linkage/bracket to the carb..it hooks the kickdown linkage to the carb." That's the way he described it to me. I wasn't standing over his set up when he described it so I'm sorry if it isn't the best description. Any help is appreciated!

The only way to get that piece is to find it in a wrecking yard or buy a whole setup somewhere. It is not available new, and it is unlikely to be sold separately in used form unless you get the part yourself in a yard.

He needs the upper half of the transmission kickdown rod. As mentioned, look on eBay as used is the only game in town for the Super Six linkage.
